This screen is used to create and maintain details about the value of pay elements, for the set employee, to be used to calculate the payroll. A pay element is simply an item of remuneration or deduction which is to be included in the calculation of net pay Common elements are:
Select the pay element from the dropdown list. If a pay element is not available, it can be created via the Administration menu.
QuantityEnter the quantity of the pay element to be extended by the rate.
RateEnter the unit rate for the pay element, for example 7.50 per hour.
AmountThe value of the pay element used for the payroll calculation. The system extends the quantity by the rate to determine the figure, however it may be over-ridden.
