Grant Access

A User with Controller, Accountant or Business Administrator access rights for a business can use this screen to grant access to other users. You need to know the user name of the person to whom you wish to grant access.
Note that users names are case sensitive so it is possible for users "smith" and "Smith" to exist. Take care to ensure that you have the correct user name. If you make a mistake you can revoke access via the menu option Business||User Access||Manage Existing Access.

User Name

A unique user name is required in order for you to be able to use the application. User names can be a maximum of 25 characters, are case sensitive and can be a combination of letters and numbers.

Roles

The roles drop down list is used to associate a user with an appropriate role. All users of the system will have a role that determines what features they are able to access and use.

The roles available are briefly described below:-

Date Access Expires

Set a date by which access by this user to this entity expires. If access is to be indeterminate then leave this field blank

This could be used if access is being granted for a particular piece of work to be completed by a certain date; such as preparing year-end accounts or tax computation.
