Customer Statements

Statements can either be generated to PDF files for printing or sent as email attachments direct to customers. The statement includes all invoices, credit notes and receipts up to and including the statement as at date.

If the list is filtered using the "As At Date", only customers with open items at the date are listed. N.B. the balance displayed on this screen is always the current balance for the customer including all future dated items. The statements will only include items up to the "As At Date".

Customer Name

Enter the name of the customer as required.

A user can search by entering as much as is known and clicking on SEARCH.

If you enter multi-word searches the spaces are interpreted as wildcards:

"british telecom" will find anything containing both words in the same order i.e. "British Telecom PLC" and "British Home Telecom Services" but not "Telecom for British Businesses".

If you want to search on a multi-word string and only want exact matches then replace the space with and underscore

"british_telecom" will only return items such as "British Telecom" and "British Telecom PLC" but not "British Home Telecom Services".

As At Date

By default the customers presented are those with open items at the the current date.

If you wish to prepare statements based on the position at a prior date then set this date as required and click SEARCH to see those customers with open items at the selected date.

Note that the balance displayed on this screen is always the current balance for the customer including all future dated items and may differ from the balance on the statement. The statements themselves will only include items up to the "As At Date".

If you change the "As At Date" to an earlier date you may see customers included with zero balances. This is because all open items at the selected "As At Date" have since been closed.
