End of Year Certificate (P60)
This screen allows the production of End of Year Certificate (P60) forms for selected employee(s). It will only print a P60 where the employee is still employed at the end of the PAYE year for which the report was run (based on the Employment Ended date on the Employee Details screen).
To focus on a particular end of year summary, set the relevant PAYE year. Choose a particular employee, a range or Check All.
The form shows the total pay for Income Tax purposes in this employment for the year. Any overtime, bonus, commission etc, Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Shared Parental Pay or Statutory Adoption Pay is included.
A P60 form must be given to each employee after the end of the income tax year. So P60's can be printed as hard copy PDF reports and/or emailed directly to the Employee. Note a valid email address is indicated by the symbol; a symbol indicates no valid email address is set. Additionally the P60 can be saved within Liberty Accounts to be viewed later as a saved Payroll report by clicking SAVE symbol. Note that in the case of emailing or saving, a system confirmation message confirms the action at the top of the page.
Printing and emailing can be done in bulk by selecting those required and clicking Bulk Print or Bulk Mail. Saving a P60 is done individually.
We have obtained approval for our P60 substitute which can be provided to employees in place of the HMRC pre-printed forms as required by law at the end of the tax year.
This certificate has to be approved each year and the application will only print the currently approved layout.
The PAYE Year drop down list contains valid PAYE years that can be selected. PAYE years run from the 6th April to the following 5th April; So that PAYE Year 2015/2016 means from 6th April 2015 to 5th April 2016.
