Sales Item List

This screen displays a list of sales items offered by the organisation. The list can be filtered alphabetically or by item type.

The vertical-nav-24-compact-grey action box symbol gives access to the following actions.

Open
to view/modify details relating to the sales item
Delete
to remove the sales item. Note if the sales item has previously been used in a invoice transaction it may not be deleted. To prevent a previously used sales item from appearing in selection drop-downs OPEN the the sales item details and toggle it as inactive

There are a number of default sales items available to the user:-

Deposit
Used in conjunction with the sales deposit received process
UK Discount
Used to enter a discount line (as a negative amount) to a sales invoice
Fixed Asset Disposal
Used when an asset is disposed from the fixed asset register
Description
Used to create description headers over line items. A text narrative of 500 characters is added in the Additional Item Text box on creation of the invoice. Although zero values are required in setting up the item, all values are suppressed when the invoice is prepared.
Reimbursable Expenses
Used to add reimbursable expenses to a Sales Invoice to reclaim from the client. Use of this sales item allows for a report to be produced showing what expenses have been claimed.
Sales Value
A generic sales item that may be used where a user prefers not to set up any dedicated items.

To Add a new sales item click on the red + symbol to open the sales item details screen.
